The Siemens SIRIUS 3RU1116-0KB0-ZW98 is a thermal overload relay, Size S00, Trip Class 10, designed for motor protection in control panels. It mounts directly onto a contactor, saving DIN-rail space — the 45 mm width and 78 mm depth fit the S00 footprint common across the SIRIUS line. Screw-type terminals on both main and auxiliary circuits simplify wiring with solid or finely stranded conductors: 2x (0.5...1.5 mm²) and 2x (0.75...2.5 mm²) per terminal.
Mounting and clearances
Mounts on the contactor with zero clearance needed upwards, forwards, backwards, or downwards — the relay shares the contactor's footprint. Side clearance to adjacent devices is 6 mm. The mounting position allows a vertical surface with ±135° rotation and ±45° tilt front-to-back, giving flexibility in tight enclosures.
