Product Overview and Key Ratings
It mounts directly onto a contactor (fastening method: contactor mounting), integrating into the SIRIUS modular system without additional wiring brackets. The relay carries ATEX approval (DMT 98 ATEX G 001), permitting use in potentially explosive atmospheres — a key requirement for tender specifications in chemical, oil & gas, or grain-handling installations. For audit purposes, the ATEX certificate number should be cross-referenced with the installation zone classification.
Electrical and Environmental Ratings
Auxiliary contact ratings are specified across multiple control voltages: 1 A at 24 V, 3 A at 120 V, 2 A at 230 V, and 1 A at 400 V. These figures govern the pilot duty capability — for a 24 VDC PLC input, the 1 A rating is more than sufficient; for a 230 VAC contactor coil, the 2 A rating provides headroom for inrush. The relay withstands 100 % relative humidity during operation — relevant for high-condensation environments like wastewater lift stations.
Both main and auxiliary/control circuits use screw-type terminals. The main circuit accepts solid conductors: 2x (0.5... 1.5 mm²) and 2x (0.75... 2.5 mm²), with AWG equivalents of 2x (20... 16), 2x (18... 14), and 2x 12. Finely stranded conductors with core-end processing follow the same cross-section ranges. Auxiliary contacts accept 2x (20... 16) and 2x (18... 14) AWG. Dimensions: 45 mm width, 87 mm height, 78 mm depth.
