It mounts directly to a contactor, saving DIN-rail space and simplifying the power stack. The 6 kV surge voltage rating confirms it can handle typical switching transients in an industrial environment.
Mounting type is contactor mounting — it snaps directly onto the output side of a SIRIUS contactor, forming a compact motor starter assembly. No separate DIN-rail clip is needed for the relay itself. Mounting position allows ±135° rotation and ±45° tilt on a vertical surface, which gives panel builders flexibility in tight enclosures. Front protection is IP20 — finger-safe for the adjustment dial and reset button, but the relay body relies on the enclosure for washdown or dust protection. The ATEX approval (DMT 98 ATEX G 001) means it is qualified for use in potentially explosive gas atmospheres when installed per the certificate conditions.
Terminal details and wiring
Main circuit terminals are screw-type, accepting 2× (0.5…1.5 mm²) or 2× (0.75…2.5 mm²) solid or finely stranded with ferrule. AWG equivalents are 2× (16…12) and 2× (14…8). This covers the common motor lead sizes for a relay in this current class. Auxiliary contacts are not built in (0 auxiliary contacts), so any feedback or status signalling requires an external auxiliary contact block mounted on the contactor.
Relative humidity during operation can reach 100 %, so condensation-prone environments are acceptable as long as the enclosure provides the necessary drip protection. Shock resistance is rated at 8g for 10 ms, which is typical for industrial panel-mounted gear.
