The S3 size handles the current range typical for this frame; the per-pole power dissipation is 5.1 W, which factors into enclosure thermal calculations.
Mounts directly on the contactor — no separate DIN rail needed for the relay itself. The mounting position allows rotation ±135° on a vertical surface and tilting ±45° front-to-back, giving panel builders flexibility in tight layouts.
Main circuit terminals accept solid conductors 2x (0.5... 2.5 mm²) or stranded 2x (10... 50 mm²) and single 10... 70 mm². AWG equivalents for main contacts: 2x (10... 1/0) or 1x (10... 2/0). Auxiliary circuit uses cage-clamp terminals accepting 2x (20... 14) AWG. The auxiliary contact ratings: 1 A at 24 V, 3 A at 120 V, 2 A at 230 V, 1 A at 400 V.
For Type 1 coordination (relay may need replacement after fault) requires a gG fuse rated 160 A. Surge voltage resistance is 8 kV. The relay carries ATEX approval DMT 98 ATEX G 001 for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
