The Siemens 3RU2116-1EB1 is a SIRIUS thermal overload relay, size S00, designed for motor protection in control panels. Its CLASS 10 trip characteristic means it disconnects the motor within 10 seconds at 7.2× the set current — fast enough to protect standard induction motors during a stall or locked-rotor event without nuisance tripping on normal start-up. Rated for 690 V, the relay handles motor loads up to 1.5 kW at 400 V, 2.2 kW at 500 V, and 3 kW at 690 V. The auxiliary switch is integrated, and the unit mounts in any position with screw-type terminals on the main circuit.
