The Siemens SIRIUS 3RU2116-1KB0-ZX95 is a size S00 thermal overload relay, Trip Class 10, rated for 690 V insulation voltage. It mounts directly onto a contactor and includes an integrated auxiliary switch that signals a tripped condition.
Mounting and wiring
Fastens directly to the contactor via the contactor mounting method — no DIN-rail adapter required, though it can sit on the rail if the contactor is rail-mounted. The main circuit uses screw-type terminals accepting 2×(0.5–1.5 mm²) or 2×(0.75–2.5 mm²) solid or stranded conductors. Screwdriver shaft diameter 5–6 mm, Pozidriv PZ 2 tip. Mounting position is any; the relay compensates for ambient temperature changes from -40 °C to +60 °C, so you don't have to worry about derating inside a warm enclosure as long as the ambient stays within that band.
Auxiliary contact ratings
The integrated auxiliary switch handles 2 A at 24 V, 3 A at 120 V, 2 A at 230 V, and 1 A at 400 V. At 60 V it's 0.3 A; at 110/125 V it's 0.22 A; at 220 V it's 0.11 A. Those are the AC ratings — if you're switching a DC control circuit, check the DC derating curve. The switch is mechanically linked to the trip mechanism, so it changes state on overload or phase failure, not just on manual test.
