SIRIUS 3RU2146-4JD0 — CLASS 10 thermal overload relay, S3 frame
It mounts directly to the contactor via the fastening method (contactor mounting), saving panel space and eliminating interconnecting wiring between the relay and the contactor coil.
Rated voltage ceiling and power ratings across common supply levels
The relay is rated for a maximum of 690 V (insulation voltage) and up to 1 000 V in AC-3e duty, covering 400 V, 480 V, 500 V, 600 V, and 690 V systems with corresponding power ratings of 30 kW at 400 V, 52 A at 480 V, 37 kW at 500 V, 62 A at 600 V, and 55 kW at 690 V. Thermal dissipation is 5.7 W per pole, which sums to 17.1 W for three poles — this heat load must be factored into the enclosure ventilation calculation to keep the ambient below the 70 °C operating limit.
Termination, tooling, and environmental limits
Main circuit terminals are screw-type (hexagonal socket, 4 mm hexagon tip), accepting solid conductors 2x (2.5... 16 mm²) and stranded conductors 2x (6... 16 mm²), 2x (10... 50 mm²), or 1x (10... 70 mm²) — the M8 screw size handles the larger cable lugs typical of the S3 frame. Mounting position is any orientation, giving flexibility in crowded panels.
Lifecycle and sourcing — active production, quoted to order
RoHS compliance date is 03/01/2017, meeting the EU substance restriction deadline.
