The Siemens 3RU5136-1HB0 is a SIRIUS thermal overload relay — the Class 10 trip curve means it opens within 10 seconds at 7.2× the set current, fast enough to protect standard induction motors on pump, fan, and conveyor loads without nuisance tripping on start-up. The adjustable current response range is 5.5 to 8 A, so you set it to the motor's FLA, not the relay's maximum. The thermal bimetal design is self-powered; no control voltage needed for the overload function itself.
Mounts directly onto a contactor of company-specific size S2 — no DIN rail, no adapter bracket. The fastening method is contactor mounting, so it bolts onto the contactor's load side. Dimensions: 55 mm wide, 105 mm high, 118 mm deep. That 55 mm width matches the S2 contactor footprint, so the assembly takes one standard 55 mm slot in the panel. Side spacing to grounded parts: 6 mm minimum.
Main contacts accept 2× (0.5 to 1.5 mm²) solid/stranded or 2× (0.75 to 2.5 mm²) — or AWG 2× (18 to 3) and 1× (18 to 1). Auxiliary contacts take 2× (20 to 16) AWG or 2× (18 to 14) AWG. Tightening torque for main terminals: 3 to 5 N·m. The auxiliary switch requires short-circuit protection: fuse gL/gG 6 A or quick 10 A. Arrangement of main circuit connectors is top and bottom — line in from the contactor above, load out below.
Relative humidity 0 to 100% during operation — no derating needed for condensing environments. Installation altitude up to 2 000 m. Shock resistance 8g / 10 ms per IEC 60068-2-27. Surge voltage resistance 6 kV. Insulation voltage 690 V at pollution degree 3. Substance prohibitance date 07/01/2006 — RoHS-compliant from that date forward.
