The Siemens 3RU7136-1HB0 is a SIRIUS Size S2 thermal overload relay rated for 8 A operational current at 690 V, 50/60 Hz, with a Class 10 trip characteristic — meaning it protects standard induction motors during start-up without nuisance tripping on normal acceleration. It mounts directly onto a S2 contactor (screw-type terminals on both main and auxiliary circuits) and fits a 55 mm wide DIN footprint. The front face carries IP20 protection; the terminal area is IP00, so panel builders should account for clearance when routing wiring.
Mounting & wiring
Fastens directly to a S2 contactor via the contactor mounting method. The mounting position allows ±135° rotation on a vertical surface and ±45° tilt forward/backward. Wire range accepts 2x (0.5…1.5 mm²) solid/stranded or 2x (0.75…2.5 mm²) with ferruled ends. Torque for main circuit screws: 3–4.5 N·m; auxiliary contacts: 0.8–1.2 N·m.
