The Siemens SIRIUS 3RV1011-0CA10-ZW96 is a motor-protective circuit breaker designed for motor branch circuits. It carries a 100 kA breaking capacity at 400 V AC, so it can interrupt a fault up to that level without upstream fuses or a bigger breaker — that's the rating that decides whether it clears a bolted fault on a 400 V line without cascading. CLASS 10 trip curve means it disconnects within 10 seconds at 7.2× the thermal setting, fast enough for standard induction motor starts but not so fast it nuisance-trips on inrush. Phase failure detection is built in, so a lost phase on the line side trips the breaker and protects the motor from single-phasing.
Mounting and integration
Mounts on 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715, screw or snap-on. Dimensions are 45 mm wide, 90 mm tall, 75 mm deep — standard footprint for the SIRIUS 3RV1 frame. Screw terminals for the main circuit accept 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²) solid or stranded, or 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²). No minimum clearance required at 240 V, 400 V, 500 V, or 690 V — spacing is already built into the housing. Mounting position is any, so it fits tight enclosures without derating.
