What it is and where it fits
The Siemens 3RV1011-0FA10 is a SIRIUS motor protection circuit breaker designed for motor protection, with screw-type terminals and a Class 10 trip characteristic. It snaps onto a 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715 and fits any mounting position, so it integrates into standard control panels without special bracketry.
Breaking capacity and coordination
Rated breaking capacity hits 100 kA at 240 V, 400 V, 500 V, and 690 V AC — that is the same high-interrupt rating across the common industrial voltages, so it clears faults without cascading upstream on most distribution panels. At 230 V it carries a 0.1 kW motor load; at 480 V and 600 V the continuous current rating is 0.5 A, which sizes it for small motors or light-duty drives.
Mounting and wiring
Fastens via screw and snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail. Dimensions: 45 mm wide, 90 mm high, 75 mm deep. Clearance requirements: 20 mm upwards, 20 mm downwards, 9 mm at the side, 0 mm forwards and backwards — so it fits tightly in a shallow enclosure. Main circuit terminals accept 2x (0.5…1.5 mm²) or 2x (0.75…2.5 mm²) solid or stranded wire, M3 screw terminals.
Environmental and protection features
Operating temperature range -20 to +60 °C; storage and transport -50 to +80 °C. Phase failure detection is built in — no ground fault detection. Rated voltage range 20…690 V. Maximum switching frequency in AC-3 duty is 15 operations per hour.
