Motor protection circuit breaker, size S00, adjustable 0.45–0.63 A
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RV1011-0GA10-ZI45 is a motor protection circuit breaker in the S00 frame size, designed for protecting small induction motors up to 0.63 A full-load current. The adjustable overload release covers a 0.45 to 0.63 A range, letting you dial in the exact motor FLA without swapping the breaker — per the datasheet, the current-dependent overload release is set via a rotary dial on the front face. The magnetic short-circuit trip (N-release) is fixed at 8.2 A, which clears a locked-rotor condition before the thermal element can overheat. Trip class is CLASS 10, meaning the overload relay trips within 10 seconds at 7.2× the set current — the standard for standard-duty motor starting where the acceleration time stays under a few seconds. For a 0.63 A motor on a 400 V line, the rated power is 180 W, so this breaker suits fractional-horsepower drives, small pumps, and conveyor drives that don't need a longer acceleration curve.
Panel integration and mounting
Mounts via screw and snap-on onto 35 mm standard mounting rail per DIN EN 60715 — the S00 footprint is 45 mm wide, so it occupies a single module slot on the rail. Mounting position is any, which simplifies layout in a crowded enclosure; no derating required for horizontal or inverted orientation. Screw-type terminals on top and bottom accept solid or stranded copper up to 2.5 mm² (2× per terminal), with a tightening torque of 0.8 to 1.2 N·m using a Pozidriv size 2 bit. The S00 size allows direct mechanical interlocking with SIRIUS contactors of the same frame — no adapter bracket needed for a reversing or star-delta starter assembly. Side clearance of 9 mm to adjacent devices is sufficient for heat dissipation; the breaker dissipates 5.5 W at rated current in hot operating state, or 1.8 W per pole.
