The Siemens 3RV1011-0GA10-ZW97 is a SIRIUS motor protection circuit breaker designed for motor protection duty. It carries a 100 kA breaking capacity at 400 V AC, meaning it can safely interrupt fault currents up to that level without cascading upstream — a key figure for panel SCCR compliance. The CLASS 10 trip characteristic means it disconnects within 10 seconds at 600% of the thermal setting, fast enough to protect standard induction motors during locked-rotor events.
Panel integration and mounting
Mounts via screw and snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715. The 45 mm width and 90 mm height fit standard SIRIUS modular spacing alongside contactors and overloads. Any mounting position is permitted. Terminal screws are M3 for the main current circuit, accepting 2x (0.5…1.5 mm²) solid or stranded, or 2x (0.75…2.5 mm²).
Clearance and ambient limits
Requires 20 mm clearance upwards and downwards, 9 mm at the sides, and 0 mm forwards/backwards. Operating ambient range is -20 to +60 °C; storage and transport range is -50 to +80 °C. Phase failure detection is included; ground fault detection is not.
