What this part is and what it does
The Siemens 3RV1011-0GA10-ZX95 is a SIRIUS motor protection circuit breaker designed for motor protection duty. It combines a circuit breaker and overload relay in one device, sized for a 0.1 kW motor at 230 V. The CLASS 10 trip characteristic means it will trip within 10 seconds at 7.2× the thermal setting — fast enough to protect a standard induction motor during a locked-rotor event without nuisance tripping on normal starts. Phase failure detection is built in, so the breaker will trip if one phase drops out — preventing single-phasing damage on a three-phase motor. The rated voltage range covers 20 to 690 V, making it usable across low-voltage motor circuits globally.
Breaking capacity and selectivity
The interrupting rating is 100 kA at 240 V, 400 V, 500 V, and 690 V AC. That 100 kA SCCR at 400 V means this breaker can safely clear a fault up to that level without upstream devices needing to intervene — critical for panel SCCR compliance under UL 508A. At 500 V and 690 V, the required upstream fuse is a gL/gG 6 A; at 240 V and 400 V, no additional fuse is needed.
Mounting and panel integration
Mounts via screw or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715. The 45 mm width matches the standard SIRIUS compact footprint. Mounting position is any orientation. Clearance requirements: 20 mm upwards and downwards, 9 mm at the sides, 0 mm forwards and backwards. Terminals accept 2× (0.5 to 1.5 mm²) or 2× (0.75 to 2.5 mm²) solid or stranded wire. Main contact terminals are M3 screw-type.
