It combines a circuit breaker and overload relay in one device, with a Trip Class 10 characteristic that matches standard motor starting curves — meaning it allows the inrush during start but trips fast enough to protect the motor winding from sustained overload. Rated breaking capacity hits 100 kA at 400 V AC, so it can safely interrupt high fault currents without needing an upstream fuse for most industrial distribution panels. Phase failure detection is built in, which is critical for three-phase motor protection — if one phase drops, the breaker trips before single-phasing damages the motor.
