SIRIUS motor protection circuit breaker — 3RV1011-0HA10-ZX95
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RV1011-0HA10-ZX95 is a motor protection circuit breaker designed to protect three-phase motors against overload and short-circuit faults. It is part of the SIRIUS family, a modular system for motor feeders and control circuits. Rated Trip Class 10, meaning it will trip within 10 seconds at 7.2x the thermal setting — standard protection for standard induction motors starting under load, like pumps and conveyors. Breaking capacity rated 100 kA at 400 V AC — that's the maximum fault current it can safely interrupt without welding contacts or rupturing the case. Same rating holds at 240 V, 500 V, and 690 V. For a panel with high available fault current, this breaker holds the line without needing an upstream current-limiting fuse in most cases. Includes phase failure detection — if one phase drops out, the breaker trips faster than a standard thermal overload, preventing single-phasing damage to the motor winding.
Mounting and integration
Snaps onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715 — standard for any industrial panel. Dimensions: 45 mm wide, 90 mm tall, 75 mm deep. The ZX95 variant carries a special customer-specific code; mechanically it shares the same footprint as the base 3RV1011-0HA10, so it drops into an existing panel layout without rewiring. Screw-type terminals on the main circuit accept 2x (0.5...1.5 mm²) solid or stranded, or 2x (0.75...2.5 mm²). M3 screws for the main contacts. Mounting position any. Clearance spacings: 20 mm upwards, 20 mm downwards, 9 mm at the side, zero forwards or backwards. No external fuse required at 240 V or 400 V; at 500 V or 690 V, use a gL/gG 6 A backup fuse.
