Motor Protection Circuit Breaker for Panel Integration
The Siemens 3RV1011-0HA15 is a SIRIUS motor protection circuit breaker with CLASS 10 trip, 100 kA breaking capacity at 400 V, and 45 mm width for DIN rail mounting.
CLASS 10 is the standard trip class for general-purpose motors — pumps, fans, conveyors. It allows the motor to start and accelerate without nuisance tripping but clears fast enough on a locked rotor. For lower voltages, the 100 kA rating holds at 240 V and 500 V. The rated voltage range spans 20 to 690 V, covering common global motor voltages from 24 V control circuits up to 690 V industrial mains.
DIN Rail and Clearance — Panel Fit
Dimensions: 45 mm wide, 90 mm high, 75 mm deep. Clearance requirements: 20 mm upwards, 20 mm downwards, 9 mm at the side, 0 mm forwards, 0 mm backwards. That means no extra space is needed in front of or behind the breaker for arc venting — the 0 mm forwards/backwards clearance allows tight panel layouts. The M3 screw terminals for main contacts accept 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²) or 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²) solid or stranded wire.
Switching Capacity and Fuse Coordination
At AC-3 duty (motor switching), the maximum switching frequency is 15 operations per hour. For applications requiring higher cycling, consider a contactor for the switching duty and use this breaker only for protection. The breaker's rated operational current varies by voltage: 1 A at 24 V, 0.15 A at 60 V, 2 A at 110/120/125 V, 0.5 A at 230 V, and at 480 V it carries 0.8 A, at 600 V also 0.8 A. The 0.1 kW motor power rating at 230 V gives a rough sizing reference for small motor loads.
Environmental Limits
Storage and transport range: -50 to +80 °C.
