Motor protection circuit breaker, size S00, Class 10, 0.7–1 A
The Siemens 3RV1011-0JA15-ZI45 is a motor protection circuit breaker in the SIRIUS 3RV1 family, size S00, with screw terminals and a transverse auxiliary switch (1 NO + 1 NC). Its Class 10 thermal overload release is set for 0.7...1 A, with a magnetic short-circuit release (N-release) at 13 A. This combination protects a motor branch circuit against overload and short-circuit in a single device, sized for the smallest S00 frame — typically used for fractional-horsepower motors up to about 0.37 kW at 400 V.
What the ratings mean for fit
The A-release range (0.7...1 A) is the thermal overload setting — you select the breaker so the motor's full-load current falls within this window. Class 10 trip curve means it will trip within 10 seconds at 7.2× the set current, matching the starting profile of standard induction motors (pumps, fans, small conveyors). The N-release at 13 A is the magnetic instantaneous trip; it clears a bolted fault without waiting for the thermal element. The 1 NO + 1 NC auxiliary switch provides a status signal to a PLC or contactor coil — useful for remote fault indication or latching the starter off.
Panel integration
Size S00 snaps onto a 35 mm DIN rail per EN 60715. The screw terminals accept 0.5–4 mm² (AWG 20–12) solid or stranded copper. The transverse auxiliary switch is factory-fitted and occupies the left-side slot — no additional wiring required for the status contact. The breaker's width (45 mm) matches the S00 contactor (3RT201) for a compact motor starter assembly.
