Motor protection circuit breaker for panel integration
The Siemens 3RV1011-1BA10-ZW98 is a SIRIUS motor protection circuit breaker designed for motor protection, with screw-type terminals for the main current circuit and snap-on mounting onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715. Trip Class 10 means it clears overloads within 10 seconds at 7.2× rated current — fast enough to protect standard induction motors during start-up without nuisance tripping on normal acceleration.
Short-circuit and coordination ratings
Rated short-circuit breaking capacity reaches 100 kA at 240 V, 400 V, and 500 V — sufficient for high-fault-current industrial panels without requiring upstream current-limiting fuses in many configurations. At 690 V the SCCR is 2 kA. For backup fuse coordination, the evidence specifies gL/gG 35 A at 400 V and gL/gG 25 A at 500 V and 690 V — no fuse required at 240 V.
Minimum clearance: 20 mm upward, 20 mm downward, 9 mm at the side; no clearance needed forward or backward. Terminal capacity accepts 2× (0.5 to 1.5 mm²) or 2× (0.75 to 2.5 mm²) solid or stranded copper; screw-type terminals for the main circuit use M3 screws. Operating temperature range is -20 to +60 °C; storage and transport range is -50 to +80 °C.
