Motor protection circuit breaker, size S00, CLASS 10, 2 A
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RV1011-1BA15-ZI45 is a motor protection circuit breaker sized S00, designed for protecting three-phase induction motors up to 2 A rated operating current. Its CLASS 10 trip characteristic means the overload release will trip within 10 seconds at 7.2× the current setting — fast enough to protect standard squirrel-cage motors against locked-rotor heating without nuisance tripping during normal starting. The adjustable overload release covers 1.4 to 2 A, letting you fine-tune the protection to the motor's full-load current without swapping the breaker. The magnetic short-circuit release is fixed at 26 A, providing instantaneous trip for fault currents above that threshold. Mounts via screw and snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715, in any orientation. The size S00 footprint — 45 mm wide — fits standard motor starter combinations alongside SIRIUS contactors of the same frame size. Screw-type terminals on top and bottom accept solid or stranded copper up to 2.5 mm².
Integrated auxiliary switch and panel integration
This variant includes a factory-fitted transverse auxiliary switch with one normally open and one normally closed contact. The auxiliary contacts share the same screw-terminal block and are rated for control-circuit switching — useful for signaling the breaker state to a PLC or for electrical interlocking in a starter combination. Power loss at rated current in hot operating state is 7.25 W total, 2.4 W per pole. In a densely populated panel, that heat must be considered for enclosure ventilation and derating of adjacent devices.
