What it is and what it does
The Siemens 3RV1011-1CA10-ZX95 is a SIRIUS motor protection circuit breaker designed for motor protection. It provides CLASS 10 overload protection, meaning it trips within 10 seconds at 7.2× the set current — fast enough to protect standard induction motors during stall or jam conditions. Phase failure detection is built in, so a lost phase on the line side will trip the breaker before single-phasing damages the motor winding.
Breaking capacity and coordination
Rated breaking capacity reaches 100 kA at 240 V and 400 V, dropping to 2 kA at 690 V. At 240 V no upstream fuse is required; at 400 V the datasheet specifies a gL/gG 35 A backup fuse, and at 500 V or 690 V a gL/gG 25 A fuse. That means in a 400 V panel with a prospective fault current up to 100 kA, this breaker can clear the fault without relying on an upstream device — useful for high-SCCR installations.
Mounting and panel fit
Mounts via screw or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715. The 45 mm width (three 15 mm module spaces) and 75 mm depth fit standard distribution boards and motor control center buckets. Clearance requirements: 20 mm above and below, 9 mm to the side, zero forward or backward. Any mounting position is permitted, so it can go sideways in a tight gland plate area without derating.
Lifecycle and sourcing
Listed as current production. This is not an NRND or phase-out line — the SIRIUS 3RV1 family remains the active motor-protection breaker platform from Siemens. Sourced and quoted to order through independent distribution; availability and current pricing are confirmed at quote time against an RFQ.
