What this circuit breaker is
It is rated for a continuous current of 2.5 A and carries a CLASS 10 trip characteristic, meaning it will trip within 10 seconds at 7.2× rated current — the standard for standard-duty motor starts.
At 400 V — the most common industrial distribution voltage — it can safely interrupt a 100 kA prospective fault current, which covers virtually all standard panelboard installations without needing upstream current-limiting fuses.
The 45 mm width takes up a single modular slot. Spring-loaded terminals for the main circuit accept 2x (0.25... 2.5 mm²) solid or 2x (0.25... 1.5 mm²) finely stranded with ferrule. Any mounting position is permitted.
