Motor protection breaker, S00 frame, CLASS 10
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RV1011-1DA10-ZI45 is a motor protection circuit breaker in the compact S00 frame, designed for protecting three-phase induction motors up to the rated operating current of 3.2 A. It snaps onto 35 mm DIN rail (DIN EN 60715) and accepts screw-type terminals top and bottom for main current connections. The CLASS 10 trip class means the overload release trips within 10 seconds at 7.2× the current setting — fast enough to protect standard squirrel-cage motors against locked-rotor heating, without nuisance tripping on normal starts. The adjustable overload release covers 2.2 to 3.2 A, set via a dial on the front; the fixed magnetic short-circuit release trips at 42 A, clearing faults up to 100 kA at 400 V AC.
Mounting and panel fit
Mounts in any position on 35 mm DIN rail — the S00 footprint is 45 mm wide, 75 mm deep (excluding terminals), with 20 mm clearance above and below for wire bending. Screw terminals accept 2×(0.75 to 2.5 mm²) solid or stranded, or 2×4 mm². Torque to 0.8–1.2 N·m.
