Motor protection circuit breaker, 3.2 A, Class 10 — spring terminals, 45 mm wide
The Siemens 3RV1011-1DA20-ZX95 is a SIRIUS motor protection circuit breaker rated for 3.2 A continuous current with Trip Class 10 thermal overload protection. It breaks up to 100 kA at 400 V AC and includes phase failure detection — a standard requirement for three-phase motor circuits. The 45 mm wide housing snaps onto 35 mm DIN rail per EN 50022 and accepts spring-loaded terminals on both main and auxiliary circuits, saving panel wiring time compared to screw-clamp variants.
Breaking capacity and coordination
At 240 V and 400 V AC the breaker delivers 100 kA, dropping to 3 kA at 500 V and 2 kA at 690 V. That 100 kA at 400 V is the figure most panel builders use for SCCR coordination with a downstream contactor — the SIRIUS family is designed for Type 1 and Type 2 coordination, so this breaker clears faults fast enough to protect the contactor from welding. The 3.2 A continuous rating and Class 10 trip curve match standard IEC motor protection for fractional-horsepower motors up to about 1.1 kW at 400 V.
Mounting and wiring
Mounts in any position on 35 mm DIN rail via screw and snap-on. The 45 mm width and 81 mm depth fit standard panel layouts — no extra clearance needed at the back or sides. Spring-loaded terminals accept 0.25…2.5 mm² solid or 0.25…1.5 mm² finely stranded with ferrule. AWG equivalents: 2x (24…14) for main contacts. Finger-safe touch protection means no additional shrouding required on the front face.
