Motor protection circuit breaker — 5 A, CLASS 10, 100 kA at 400 V
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RV1011-1FA10-0FJ0-ZX95 is a motor protection circuit breaker designed for motor loads up to 1.5 kW at 400 V. It carries a continuous current rating of 5 A and a CLASS 10 trip class, meaning it will disconnect within 10 seconds at 7.2× the set current — fast enough to protect standard induction motors during a stall or locked-rotor event. The breaker offers a 100 kA breaking capacity at 400 V AC, which safely interrupts high fault currents without cascading upstream, and also delivers 100 kA at 240 V, 3 kA at 500 V, and 2 kA at 690 V. Phase failure detection is built in, so a lost phase on the line side will trip the breaker and prevent single-phasing damage to the motor.
Mounting and integration
Mounts via screw or snap-on onto a 35 mm DIN rail per EN 50022. The 45 mm width (3 TE) fits standard panel slots, and the 81 mm depth leaves clearance for wiring behind the rail. Terminal connections accept solid or stranded conductors: 2× (0.5…1.5 mm²) and 2× (0.75…2.5 mm²) per pole, with screw-type terminals on the main circuit. The auxiliary switch is included, and the front face is rated IP20 — suitable for enclosed panel use, not for washdown environments.
