Motor protection circuit breaker for 45 mm DIN-rail panels
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RV1011-1FA10-ZX95 is a motor protection circuit breaker designed for screw and snap-on mounting onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715. It occupies a 45 mm width, 90 mm height, and 75 mm depth — a standard footprint that fits existing SIRIUS panel layouts without re-drilling. Rated for Trip Class 10, it clears overloads within 10 seconds at 7.2× the thermal setting, matching the protection profile for standard induction motors driving conveyors, pumps, or fans. Phase failure detection is built in, so a lost phase on the line side trips the breaker before single-phasing damages the motor. The interrupting rating hits 100 kA at 240 V and 400 V, meaning this breaker can safely clear a bolted fault up to that level without upstream fuses needing to coordinate — useful in high-fault-capacity panels common in industrial distribution. At 690 V the SCCR drops to 2 kA, so verify the available fault current at that voltage before specifying.
Mounting and terminal details
Mounting position is any orientation; the breaker snaps onto 35 mm DIN rail or can be screw-mounted. Main circuit terminals are M3 screw-type, accepting 2×(0.5…1.5 mm²) or 2×(0.75…2.5 mm²) solid or stranded copper. Required clearance above and below the unit is 20 mm; 9 mm at the sides; zero forward or backward clearance needed. For fault-current back-up, at 240 V no upstream fuse is required. At 400 V a gL/gG 50 A fuse is needed; at 500 V and 690 V a gL/gG 35 A fuse is specified.
