Its Class 10 trip characteristic matches the starting profile of standard squirrel-cage motors, allowing the inrush to pass while still clearing a locked-rotor condition before the winding temperature rises past the insulation class. Rated short-circuit breaking capacity hits 100 kA at both 240 V and 400 V — enough to sit upstream of most distribution transformers without needing a current-limiting backup fuse. At 690 V the SCCR drops to 2 kA, so on a 690 V line you still need the listed gL/gG 40 A backup fuse to reach full fault rating.
Clearance requirements: 20 mm upwards and downwards, 9 mm to the side, zero forwards or backwards. That 9 mm side gap lets you stack breakers edge-to-edge on the rail without thermal derating worries.
