The Siemens 3RV1011-1GA15 is a SIRIUS circuit breaker — a motor-protective device that combines a thermal-magnetic overload relay and a short-circuit trip in one 45 mm wide package. Rated 6.3 A at both 480 V and 600 V, it covers typical IEC motor branch circuits up to that full-load current. Breaking capacity reaches 100 kA at 400 V and 240 V, dropping to 3 kA at 500 V and 2 kA at 690 V. That 100 kA figure at 400 V is high enough to handle most industrial fault levels without upstream fuses — a real advantage in high-SCCR panels.
The 45 mm width and 75 mm depth fit standard motor-starter footprints. Terminals accept 2×(0.5…1.5 mm²) or 2×(0.75…2.5 mm²) solid or stranded — M3 screws for the main contacts. Clearance to adjacent devices: 20 mm upward and downward, 9 mm at the sides, zero forward and backward. That 9 mm side gap is tighter than many breakers — you can pack these close on the rail without derating.
