The Siemens SIRIUS 3RV1011-1GA15-0BA0 is a motor protection circuit breaker designed for thermal-magnetic overload and short-circuit protection of motors up to 2.2 kW at 400 V. Rated continuous current is 6.3 A, with a Trip Class 10 thermal release — meaning it trips within 10 seconds at 7.2× the set current, standard for protecting standard induction motors during start-up. The magnetic short-circuit trip (fixed) handles fault currents up to 100 kA at 400 V AC, so it can be used on high-fault-capacity mains without an upstream current-limiting fuse in many cases. Mounting is screw and snap-on onto 35 mm standard mounting rail per DIN EN 50022. The 45 mm width fits a standard 45 mm modular device slot. Front IP20 protection means it's safe for finger contact inside a closed panel but not for washdown environments. Operating temperature range is -50 to +60 °C, storage -50 to +80 °C.
Screw terminals accept solid conductors 2x (0.5...1.5 mm²) and 2x (0.75...2.5 mm²), or stranded equivalents. AWG for main contacts is 2x (18...14). No ground-fault detection; phase-failure detection is built in. The auxiliary switch is transverse — verify orientation when ordering separate aux blocks. Mounting position is any; shock resistance 25g / 11 ms. Power dissipation at rated current in hot operating state is 7.25 W — account for that heat in a densely packed enclosure.
