What it is and where it fits
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RV1011-1HA10-ZX95 is a motor protection circuit breaker designed for motor loads in control panels. It snaps onto a 35 mm DIN rail per EN 60715 or screws directly to a mounting plate — your choice, no adapter needed. At 45 mm wide and 90 mm tall, it occupies a single standard modular slot, leaving room alongside contactors and overload relays in a dense panel layout.
What the ratings mean for your motor circuit
CLASS 10 trip class means it disconnects within 10 seconds at 7.2× the thermal setting — fast enough to protect standard induction motors during a stalled-rotor or locked-rotor condition without nuisance tripping on normal starting inrush. Rated short-circuit breaking capacity hits 100 kA at 240 V and 13 kA at 400 V — that covers most industrial distribution panels where the transformer or upstream feeder can deliver fault currents in that range. At 690 V it still clears 2 kA, enough for many 690 V motor circuits in mining or marine gear. Phase failure detection is built in — if one leg drops out, the breaker trips. That prevents single-phasing damage on a motor that would otherwise try to run on two phases and burn up the winding. The gL/gG fuse backup ratings let you coordinate with upstream fuses: 80 A at 240 V, 63 A at 400 V, 40 A at 500 V and 690 V. That tells your panel designer what fuse size to spec ahead of this breaker to keep selective coordination.
Mounting and wiring
Snap-on or screw-fixed to a 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715. Mounting position is any — vertical, horizontal, upside down — no derating needed for orientation. Screw-type terminals on the main circuit accept 2× (0.5 to 1.5 mm²) or 2× (0.75 to 2.5 mm²) solid or stranded copper. Terminal screws are M3. Clearance around the unit: 20 mm above and below, 9 mm to the side, zero in front or back — tight panel spacing works.
Environmental range and storage
Operates from -20 °C to +60 °C, with temperature compensation active across that entire span so the thermal trip curve stays accurate. Storage and transport range is -50 °C to +80 °C — fine for unheated warehouses or container shipping. Rated voltage range covers 20 V to 690 V, so it works on control voltages as low as 24 VAC/DC as well as standard 400 V and 690 V power circuits.
