The Siemens SIRIUS 3RV1011-1HA15-0BA0 is a motor-protective circuit breaker rated for 8 A continuous current and 3 kW at 400 V. Its CLASS 10 trip characteristic means it clears a stalled-rotor overload fast enough to protect standard squirrel-cage induction motors without nuisance tripping on normal starting inrush. Short-circuit breaking capacity runs 100 kA at 240 V, 50 kA at 400 V, 3 kA at 500 V, and 2 kA at 690 V — enough headroom for most panel feeds downstream of a transformer or distribution board. Built-in phase-failure detection catches a lost leg before the motor single-phases to a smoking stop. That alone saves a bearing replacement route call.
Mounting and Terminals
Snaps onto 35 mm DIN rail per EN 50022. Screw-type terminals on both main and auxiliary circuits. Solid wire accepted: 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²) and 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²); stranded same. AWG equivalents for main contacts: 2x (18 to 14). IP20 on the front face — fine inside a closed panel, but keep it out of washdown zones. Mounting position is any orientation.
