The Siemens 3RV1011-1JA10-ZI45 is a SIRIUS motor protection circuit breaker in the S00 frame size, designed to protect three-phase induction motors against overload and short-circuit. Its CLASS 10 trip characteristic means it will trip within 10 seconds at 7.2× the current setting — fast enough to protect standard squirrel-cage rotors during a stall or locked-rotor event without nuisance tripping on normal starting inrush. The adjustable overload release spans 7 to 10 A, letting you dial in the exact motor FLA without swapping the breaker. The magnetic short-circuit release is fixed at 130 A, so it clears a bolted fault fast while ignoring the motor's starting transient. At 400 V the unit is rated for 4 000 W of motor output.
Panel integration and mounting
Mounts via screw or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715 — the standard rail profile in every European and most global control panels. The S00 frame is the smallest SIRIUS footprint, so it fits tightly alongside contactors and relays in a crowded enclosure. Mounting position is unrestricted, which simplifies layout in vertical or horizontal bus runs. Screw-type terminals on top and bottom for the main current circuit accept solid or stranded copper. The power loss at rated current is 9.25 W total, 3.1 W per pole in hot operating state — modest enough that adjacent devices don't need extra derating in a standard IP20 cabinet.
