Motor protection circuit breaker, size S00 — 12.5 A, CLASS 10
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RV1011-1KA10-ZI45 is a motor protection circuit breaker sized for the S00 frame, rated at 12.5 A operating current with an adjustable thermal overload release spanning 9 to 12.5 A. The CLASS 10 trip class means it will disconnect within 10 seconds at 600% of the set current — fast enough to protect standard induction motors during a stall or locked-rotor condition without nuisance tripping on normal starts. This breaker is designed for motor protection duty, combining a thermal overload element for sustained overcurrents and a magnetic short-circuit trip. The screw-type terminals on top and bottom accept solid or stranded copper conductors, and the unit mounts via screw or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715. Mounting position is any — no derating needed for horizontal or vertical panel layouts.
DIN-rail integration and panel fit
The S00 frame measures 45 mm wide, 90 mm high, and 75 mm deep, with 20 mm clearance required above and below the unit and 9 mm at the sides — no extra space needed in front or behind. That keeps the footprint tight on a crowded DIN rail. The breaker snaps onto standard 35 mm rail and accepts screw-clamp wiring; the Pozidriv #2 screw terminals torque to 0.8–1.2 N·m for both main and auxiliary contacts. At full load the breaker dissipates 9.25 W total (3.1 W per pole) in the hot operating state — a factor to check when calculating enclosure heat rise in a sealed panel.
