The Siemens 3RV1021-0BA10-ZX95 is a SIRIUS motor protection circuit breaker — a three-pole device sized for a 0.06 kW motor at 400 V, with a continuous current rating of 0.2 A and a Class 10 trip characteristic that clears overloads fast enough to protect a motor winding during a stall without nuisance-tripping on a normal start.
Breaking capacity — what 100 kA means
Rated breaking capacity is 100 kA at 240 V, 400 V, 500 V, and 690 V AC — that means it can safely interrupt a fault current up to 100,000 A at any of those voltages without welding contacts or venting plasma into the enclosure. For a 0.2 A motor branch, that level of fault-interrupt capability is overkill on the load side but essential for the line-side short-circuit rating the panel designer needs to pass the SCCR label.
Main and auxiliary/control circuits use screw-type terminals. Each pole accepts two solid or stranded conductors in the range 1 to 2.5 mm², plus a second pair for 2.5 to 6 mm² — handy for daisy-chaining the line feed through the breaker without a separate terminal block. AWG equivalents are 2x (14 to 10) for the main contacts.
Rated for -20 to +60 °C operating ambient, -50 to +80 °C storage/transport. Shock-tested to 25 g for 11 ms — survives the ride in a panel on a forklift or a conveyor line vibration. Phase-failure detection is built in; ground-fault detection is not. An auxiliary switch can be added via the product extension slot.
