What this breaker does and where it fits
The Siemens 3RV1021-0DA10-ZW95 is a SIRIUS motor protection circuit breaker rated for 0.32 A continuous current with a Class 10 trip characteristic. It's designed to protect 3-phase motors up to 0.09 kW at 400 V (AC-3 duty), with a 100 kA breaking capacity across the full voltage range up to 690 V. The 3-pole unit mounts on a 35 mm DIN rail per EN 50022 via screw and snap-on fastening, and accepts screw-type terminals for both main and auxiliary circuits — solid or stranded wire from 1 to 6 mm².
Trip class and breaking capacity — what they mean for the line
Class 10 trip means the breaker will open within 10 seconds at 7.2× the thermal setting — standard for standard-duty induction motor starting where the inrush transient is short. The 100 kA breaking capacity at 400 V (and at 240 V, 500 V, and 690 V as well) means this breaker can safely interrupt a fault current up to that level without upstream fuses needing to clear first. That's a high-interrupting rating for a 0.32 A device, so it can be placed near the motor without worrying about the available fault current at the panel.
Panel integration notes
Mounts on a 35 mm DIN rail per EN 50022 — screw and snap-on fastening. The 45 mm width (3-module) fits standard enclosure spacing. IP20 on the front means it's protected against finger contact but not washdown; install inside a panel with a door or cover. Screw terminals accept 1 to 2.5 mm² (solid or stranded) for the main circuit, and 2.5 to 6 mm² as well — no special tooling needed. The auxiliary switch option (product extension available) shares the same terminal block.
