Motor-protective circuit breaker for 0.63 A loads
The Siemens 3RV1021-0GA10-0FJ0 is a SIRIUS motor-protective circuit breaker designed for motor protection, rated at 0.63 A continuous current with a breaking capacity of 100 kA across the full AC voltage range from 240 V to 690 V. Its trip class 10 characteristic means it will trip within 10 seconds at 7.2× rated current — appropriate for standard induction motor starting profiles where the inrush transient clears before the overload curve locks out. Phase failure detection is built in, so a lost phase on the line side will cause the breaker to trip rather than let the motor single-phase and overheat. The auxiliary switch is present, giving a remote status contact for the PLC or HMI without an add-on block.
Mounting and integration
Mounts via screw or snap-on onto a 35 mm standard mounting rail per DIN EN 50022. The 45 mm width and 97 mm height fit a standard panel layout; depth is 96 mm, which leaves clearance behind a 120 mm deep enclosure. IP20 on the front means the terminals are protected against finger contact but the unit is not sealed — install inside a panel rated for the environment. Terminals accept solid or stranded conductors: 2× (1 … 2.5 mm²) and 2× (2.5 … 6 mm²) per clamp, or AWG 14–10 for the main circuit. Operating temperature range is -20 to +60 °C; storage and transport range is -50 to +80 °C. Shock resistance is 25 g for 11 ms, so it holds up in moderate vibration environments.
