The Siemens 3RV1021-0GA10-ZX95 is a SIRIUS motor protection circuit breaker rated for 0.63 A continuous current with Trip Class 10 thermal overload protection. It interrupts faults up to 100 kA at 400 V AC, covering the full range from 240 V through 690 V at the same 100 kA rating. That 100 kA SCCR means it can clear a bolted fault without upstream fuses needing to coordinate — a real advantage in high-fault-capacity panels where you'd otherwise need a current-limiting feeder breaker.
Mounting and integration
Snaps onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 50022; the screw and snap-on fastening method lets you clip it in place without tools. Dimensions are 45 mm wide, 97 mm tall, 96 mm deep — fits a standard 45 mm module slot on the rail. Mounting position is any orientation, so it works in horizontal or vertical bus layouts. The IP20 front face keeps fingers out of live terminals inside the panel.
Termination and wiring
Main and auxiliary/control circuits both use screw-type terminals. Solid and stranded conductors accept 2x (1 to 2.5 mm²) or 2x (2.5 to 6 mm²) per clamp. AWG equivalents are 2x (14 to 10) for the main contacts. No backwards clearance needed at the terminals — 0 mm rear clearance means it can sit flush against the back panel or a busbar.
Electrical performance
Rated insulation voltage is 690 V; surge voltage resistance is 6 000 V. Power dissipation in hot operating state is 5.5 W total, 1.8 W per pole. Maximum operating frequency under AC-3 duty is 15 operations per hour. The 0.18 kW rating at 400 V gives a direct motor sizing reference for a standard 4-pole induction motor.
