Motor Protection Circuit Breaker for 1 A Loads
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RV1021-0JA15-ZW96 is a motor protection circuit breaker rated for 1 A continuous current with CLASS 10 trip characteristics, designed to protect motors up to 0.25 kW at 400 V AC. Its 100 kA breaking capacity at 400 V AC means it can safely interrupt fault currents up to that level without upstream fusing — a key spec for panel builders coordinating SCCR on a line-up. Mounts via screw and snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per EN 50022, with a 45 mm width footprint that fits standard panel layouts. The IP20 front protection is sufficient for enclosed control panels.
Termination and Wiring
Main circuit terminals accept screw-type connections: solid conductors 2x (0.5–1.5 mm²) and 2x (0.75–2.5 mm²); stranded conductors 2x (1–2.5 mm²) and 2x (2.5–6 mm²). AWG equivalents for main contacts are 2x (14–10). Auxiliary and control circuits also use screw-type terminals. The auxiliary switch is transverse design and is a product extension — the breaker accepts an add-on auxiliary switch block.

Operating temperature range is -20 to +60 °C; storage and transport range is -50 to +80 °C. Shock resistance rated at 25g / 11 ms. Mounting position is any orientation. RoHS compliance date is 01.05.2012 — the part meets the RoHS substance prohibitions effective from that date. Phase failure detection is built in; ground fault detection is not.
