This breaker is designed for motor protection, not just cable protection — the thermal and magnetic elements are matched to motor inrush and overload curves. The 2 A rating suits a 0.75 kW motor at 400 V, which is the typical power rating for a small pump, fan, or conveyor drive. The switching rate is limited to 15 operations per hour under AC-3 duty, so it's not meant for frequent jogging or inching — that would overheat the bimetal strip.
DIN rail mounting and panel integration
Zero clearance required at the back and sides — you can butt it against adjacent devices or the panel wall. The 45 mm width (three module spaces) and 97 mm height fit standard distribution boards and motor control centers. Mounting position is any, which helps when the panel is laid out horizontally. Screw terminals on the main circuit accept solid or stranded conductors: 2× (1 to 2.5 mm²) or 2× (2.5 to 6 mm²), or AWG 14 to 10. Fine-stranded wire with ferrule is also covered. No auxiliary contacts are included (0 built-in), but the auxiliary switch option is available as an add-on if you need status feedback to a PLC.
