The Siemens SIRIUS 3RV1021-1CA10-0FJ0-ZX95 is a motor protection circuit breaker rated for 2.5 A continuous current, with a CLASS 10 trip characteristic and a 100 kA breaking capacity at 400 V AC — enough to handle high-fault utility feeds without cascading upstream. It includes phase failure detection, so a lost phase on the line side trips the breaker before the motor single-phases and burns out. Terminals are screw-type for the main circuit, accepting solid or stranded conductors up to 6 mm².
The 2.5 A continuous rating sets the motor FLA it can protect — pair it with a motor drawing up to 2.5 A full-load. CLASS 10 trip means it opens within 10 seconds at 7.2× rated current, matching standard induction-motor starting profiles. 100 kA breaking capacity at 400 V AC (and also at 240 V and 500 V) means it safely interrupts faults up to that level without needing a backup fuse for most industrial supplies. At 690 V the breaking capacity drops to 8 kA — still adequate for 690 V systems with limited fault current. IP20 on the front, open-type otherwise — intended for enclosure mounting, not exposed outdoor use.
