It protects three-phase motor loads up to 7.5 kW at 400 V AC, with a maximum operating voltage of 690 V AC-3.
Trip class and motor protection
That's the standard for standard-duty induction motors — it lets the motor start and accelerate under load without nuisance tripping, but clears fast enough to prevent winding damage on a locked-rotor condition. Ground fault detection is not included — if that's required, you'd add a separate ground-fault relay or choose a variant with the G option.
The interrupting rating drops as voltage rises: 100 kA at 240 V AC, 50 kA at 400 V AC, 10 kA at 500 V AC, and 4 kA at 690 V AC. At 400 V — the most common industrial supply — 50 kA covers virtually any panelboard fault current you'll encounter in a standard MCC or distribution board.
Depth is 96 mm, height 97 mm. Mounting position is any orientation. The IP20 front protection means the front is finger-safe when installed in an enclosure; the terminals themselves require the panel door to be closed or a separate terminal cover.
Accepts solid or stranded conductors: two conductors per terminal, either 1–2.5 mm² or 2.5–6 mm². For finely stranded wire with ferrule, same ranges apply. The backwards clearance is 0 mm, meaning the terminals are flush with the back of the housing — no extra space needed behind the DIN rail for wiring. Side clearance is also 0 mm, so units can be ganged side-by-side without spacing.
