The unit snaps onto a 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 50022 and uses screw-type box terminals for the main circuit, accepting stranded conductors up to 2x 25 mm² or a single 35 mm².
The 16 A continuous rating sets the motor FLA it can protect; pair it with a motor whose full-load current is at or below that value. Breaking capacity is rated per IEC 60947-2: 100 kA at 240 V AC, 50 kA at 400 V AC, 12 kA at 500 V AC, and 5 kA at 690 V AC. At a typical 400 V supply, the 50 kA figure covers most industrial fault levels without requiring an upstream current-limiting fuse. Power dissipation is 14.5 W in hot operating state, or 4.8 W per pole. In a densely packed panel, that heat adds up — allow adequate ventilation or spacing between rows of breakers to stay within the -20 to +60 °C operating ambient.
Zero clearance required at the sides or rear, so it can be installed flush against adjacent devices. Main circuit terminals accept solid conductors 2x (0.75…16 mm²) and stranded 2x (0.75…25 mm²) or 1x (0.75…35 mm²). Auxiliary and control circuit terminals are also screw-type. The unit supports an auxiliary switch add-on for remote status indication.
