Motor protection circuit breaker for the SIRIUS line
It carries a continuous current rating of 16 A and delivers 7.5 kW at 400 V AC, with a Trip Class 10 thermal-magnetic trip curve — meaning it protects standard induction motors during start-up without nuisance tripping on inrush.
Main circuit terminals accept solid conductors 2x (0.75... 16 mm²) and stranded 2x (0.75... 25 mm²) or 1x (0.75 … 35 mm²). AWG equivalents are 2x (18... 2) for the main contacts. The screw-type box terminals are standard for panel wiring — torque to the manufacturer's spec for full short-circuit rating. Auxiliary and control circuits also use screw terminals. The product extension auxiliary switch is available (not included), so you can wire a remote status signal or a PLC input without a separate interface relay. Depth is 149 mm, width 55 mm, height 140 mm — fits the standard SIRIUS 3RV1 footprint. Backwards and side clearance is 0 mm, so adjacent breakers can be mounted flush without derating.
RoHS compliance date is 07/01/2006, covering the EU directive. No ground fault detection is built in — that function is handled separately by a residual current device upstream if required.
