The Siemens SIRIUS 3RV1031-4EA15 is a motor protection circuit breaker rated for 32 A continuous current with a CLASS 10 trip characteristic, sized for a 15 kW motor at 400 V AC-3 duty. At 240 V it handles 100 kA, at 500 V it drops to 10 kA, and at 690 V it holds 4 kA — the SCCR headroom is highest at the common 400 V bus voltage. Ground fault detection is not included — that requires a separate module or upstream residual-current device if needed.
No side clearance required — the breaker can be ganged directly against adjacent devices, which saves rail space in a crowded panel. Main circuit terminals accept stranded wire up to 2× (0.75 … 25 mm²) or 1× (0.75 … 35 mm²), and solid wire 2× (0.5 … 1.5 mm²) or 2× (0.75 … 2.5 mm²). The auxiliary and control circuit uses screw-type terminals. The auxiliary switch is a transverse design and the product extension for an auxiliary switch is available. Dimensions: 55 mm wide, 140 mm high, 149 mm deep. The 149 mm depth is the full body depth including the screw terminals — account for that plus wiring bend radius when laying out the DIN rail against the back panel or enclosure door.
Substance prohibitance date is 07/01/2006, aligning with RoHS compliance.
