Motor Protection Circuit Breaker for 32 A Loads
Its Class 20 trip characteristic means it allows up to 20 seconds to trip at 7.2× rated current — the standard for standard-duty induction motors driving pumps, fans, and compressors where starting transients last several seconds. No ground-fault detection on this unit; that is handled separately downstream if required. Breaking capacity is 50 kA at 400 V AC, 100 kA at 240 V, dropping to 10 kA at 500 V and 4 kA at 690 V. At 400 V — the most common industrial supply — this breaker can interrupt a 50 kA prospective fault current without upstream fusing, which covers most panelboard and motor control center applications.
Any mounting position is permitted. Dimensions: 55 mm wide, 140 mm high, 149 mm deep — fits a standard 55 mm module slot. Zero clearance required at the sides or rear, so breakers can be ganged without spacing. Main circuit terminals accept solid conductors 2x (0.75…16 mm²) or stranded 2x (0.75…25 mm²) and up to 1x 35 mm². AWG equivalents: 2x (18…2). Control circuit terminals are screw-type as well.
Shock resistance rated at 25 g for 11 ms. IP20 protection on the front — suitable for enclosed panels where the front is operator-accessible but not washdown-rated.
