What this breaker does in a panel
The Siemens 3RV1031-4EB15 is a SIRIUS motor protection circuit breaker rated 32 A continuous and 15 kW at 400 V AC-3 — sized for a 15 kW induction motor on a 400 V three-phase line. The CLASS 20 trip curve gives it a 20-second maximum trip time at 7.2× rated current, which matches the thermal characteristic of most standard squirrel-cage motors during start-up. The 25g / 11 ms shock rating means it survives the shake inside a wind-turbine nacelle or a conveyor drive cabinet; no up-tower swaps if the grid hiccups.
Main circuit terminals accept stranded wire up to 35 mm² single or 2× 25 mm² — that's good for the full 32 A without derating. Auxiliary and control circuit terminals are screw-type as well, taking 2× 1.5 mm² solid or 2× 2.5 mm² solid. The auxiliary switch is transverse-mounted and field-installable, so you can add a remote trip indication or status contact without pulling the breaker off the rail.
