SIRIUS 3RV1041-4FA10 — Motor-Protective Circuit Breaker, 40 A, CLASS 10
The Siemens 3RV1041-4FA10 is a SIRIUS motor-protective circuit breaker rated for 40 A continuous current with a CLASS 10 trip characteristic, sized for motor loads up to 18.5 kW at 400 V AC.
At 400 V AC the unit interrupts 50 kA; at 240 V AC it handles 100 kA, at 500 V AC 12 kA, and at 690 V AC 6 kA. That 50 kA at 400 V gives solid headroom for most industrial panel SCCR requirements — the breaker clears a fault before upstream devices need to act, which simplifies selectivity studies.
The main circuit terminals accept solid conductors 2x (2.5…16 mm²) and stranded 2x (10…50 mm²) or 1x (10…70 mm²). Auxiliary and control circuits use separate screw terminals. Finger-safe touch protection (IP20 on the front) means it can sit near the panel door without an extra cover.
Protection Functions and Environment
Built-in phase failure detection trips the breaker if one phase drops out — critical for preventing single-phasing damage on a motor. No ground-fault detection onboard, so that function stays with the upstream RCD or drive. Shock rated at 25g / 11 ms. Power dissipation at rated load is 23 W (7.7 W per pole).
