Motor protection breaker — 400 A, 120 kA, adjustable trip class
The Siemens 3RV1073-7GL10 is a SIRIUS molded-case circuit breaker (MCCB) for motor protection, rated 400 A continuous and capable of 200 kW motor switching at 400 V AC. Its electronic overload and short-circuit trip give you adjustable trip class — choose CLASS 10, 20, or 30 depending on the motor's thermal tolerance and starting profile. CLASS 10 is tight for high-inertia loads; CLASS 30 buys you more headroom for long acceleration times. Breaking capacity runs 120 kA at 400 V AC, 100 kA at 240 V, 85 kA at 500 V, and 70 kA at 690 V — enough for high-fault utility feeds without cascading upstream. The 3-pole design uses screw-type terminals on both main and auxiliary circuits, and the front is IP20 finger-safe. Mounting is screw fixing in any position, with a 140 mm width and 103.5 mm depth that fits standard panel layouts.

Panel builders: the 140 mm width and 103.5 mm depth fit a standard DIN-rail or backplate layout; screw fixing is required (no snap-on). The IP20 front allows direct panel mounting without additional covers. Auxiliary switch extension is supported (product extension auxiliary switch: Yes), so you can add status feedback for PLC or HMI. No ground fault detection built in, but phase failure detection is standard.
