What this breaker does in the panel
The Siemens 3RV1321-1GC10 is a SIRIUS circuit breaker designed for starter combinations — it protects the motor branch against short circuits and overloads in one compact package. Rated 6.3 A continuous, it handles the inrush and running current of smaller three-phase motors up to 2.2 kW at 400 V.
Zero clearance needed at the sides or back, so you can pack breakers tight in a row. Screw terminals accept 2x 1–2.5 mm² solid or stranded, or 2x 2.5–6 mm² — typical for 6.3 A motor feeds.
The 100 kA rating holds at 240 V, 400 V, and 500 V AC — that's a Type 2 coordination level with most SIRIUS contactors, meaning the contactor stays operational after a fault. The 6 kV rated surge voltage gives it a solid impulse withstand for industrial environments with switching transients.
Front face is IP20 — finger-safe but not washdown-rated, so keep it inside the enclosure. Shock rated at 25g for 11 ms, which covers most industrial vibration from contactors and drives in the same panel. Mechanical endurance is 100,000 operations on the main contacts — that's a long service life for a motor protection breaker in normal cycling.
