Rated 16 A continuous current and 7.5 kW at 400 V (AC-3), it handles the motor starting inrush without nuisance tripping while the 50 kA breaking capacity at 400 V clears a hard fault before it propagates upstream. That 50 kA figure at 400 V is the one that governs SCCR compliance in a panel; the breaker also carries 100 kA at 240 V, 10 kA at 500 V, and 4 kA at 690 V.
Width is 45 mm (three 15 mm modules), height 97 mm, depth 96 mm. No clearance needed at the sides or backwards, so you can pack it tight in a multi-row enclosure. Any mounting position works. The screw-type terminals on the main circuit accept 2x (1–2.5 mm²) solid or stranded, or 2x (2.5–6 mm²) — sized for the 16 A feed. An auxiliary switch is built in, though no auxiliary contact block is fitted as standard (0 auxiliary contacts).
Environment and durability
Shock rated at 25 g for 11 ms, surge voltage withstand 6 kV. Mechanical life of the main contacts is 100,000 cycles typical. Power dissipation at full load in hot operating state is 9.25 W total, 3.1 W per pole — relevant for thermal management in a crowded panel.
